What could we possibly say about our El Segoviano blend that could truly do it justice? The phrase Single Origin Blend is usually an oxymoron, but in this instance it accurately describes our flagship offering: four single-estate coffees from four different farms in Nicaragua, blended together to make a sweet, smooth, and nutty amalgamation of our original allies in coffee.

Tiny House Coffee Roasters was founded after two Peace Corps volunteers became both enamoured with the coffee world and resolute about its practices after spending time with some local farmers near where they were stationed in Nicaragua. Years later, their long-standing Head Roaster (yours truly) was fortunate enough to take the pilgrimage to origin; not just the origin of those particular coffees, but the unofficial Ground Zero for the company. Clocking in at 15 years in the specialty coffee industry, it was the culmination of a decade-long dream of visiting a coffee farm.

It’s one thing to talk about building relationships with farmers, but it’s quite another to witness an authentic relationship in person. My personal history with them was minimal and my Spanish rudimentary, but the co-founders and the farmers went way back, and we were both treated like family the whole time we were in Nicaragua. From start to finish, la amistad was very palpable.

This coffee is our transcontinental labor of love, and we’re very proud of it. It’s a great morning coffee and shines as a standalone, or dressed up with cream and flavors. Much like the people who cultivate it, it’s versatile, well-rounded, and very loved.
